Do gadgets such as cell phones, tablets and computers benefit our society?

I think gadgets such as cell phones, tablets and computers benefit our society.

There are three reasons. First, using the Internet is very helpful. For example, you can not only buy anything, but also earn money without leaving home by business on the Internet. In addition, you can keep in touch with your friends and people who live far away or even abroad. In my case, I sometimes chat with my friends from high school on the Internet. It is fun and very valuable time, I think. Therefore using the Internet makes our life rich.

Second, you can call someone any time and anywhere. When you face danger or need to help, you can call your family, friends and the police. Gadgets make it possible to react flexibly to urgent situations. It’s very important for your safety. Not in urgent situations but when I feel lonely, I sometimes use my cell phone to call my family. So, gadgets are also important for my mind.

Third, they have a lot of useful functions. For example, camera, alarm, note and so many other applications. Thanks to them, you don’t need to carry a camera, a watch and writing instruments if you have a gadget. It’s very efficient, isn’t it? I especially use Google maps very often. When I visit places I’ve never been to, Google maps is essential for me. By using it, we can take buses, trains and subways easily so I feel I can go anywhere.  

For those reasons, gadgets make our life rich, safe, convenient and efficient. So I think they must benefit our society.
