What are your hopes and fears about grawing old? posted by Yukino

At first, I have just some fears about getting old. Most elderly people are getting not to do something such as moving quickly and speaking quickly.  Another thing is that the more people get older, the more they change their appearance. Especially, they have false teeth, white hair and winkled skins. These inside and appearance are different from teenagers who have a lot of youth. I think these change are not attractive to me.

 However, I have changed mind about elderly people. If I become old age, I don’t have to work because most people usually resign from the job at 60 years old in Japan. After that, they can live with a pension which is money given from Japanese government not to get money by their job. I think that life is easy-going and I’d like to live just enjoying many hobbies. For example, my host mother in Dunedin has a good her life like listening to classical music, enjoying movies, gardening, and something like that. Moreover, she wants to challenge new hobbies. Although she is an elderly woman, she is quite active and attractive for me. That’s why I’m looking forward to pass my life like her in the future.
